Premier League rebateu acusações do Nottingham Forest e prometeu investigação
O Nottingham Forest voltou a direcionar fortes críticas à arbitragem da Premier League após a derrota para o Everton por 2 x 0, neste domingo (21), no Estádio Goodison Park. Por meio das redes sociais, o clube questionou três possíveis pênaltis não marcados pelo árbitro Anthony Taylor.
Em um dos comunicados, o Forest chegou a afirmar que Stuart Attwell, escalado para comandar o VAR na partida, seria torcedor do Luton Town, concorrente direto na luta contra o rebaixamento. O clube ainda defendeu a divulgação dos áudios da arbitragem da partida ao público.

Após as acusações, a Premier League se manifestou e prometeu investigar a denúncia, além de apurar possíveis excessos nas críticas. “A FA [Federação Inglesa] confirmou que o comunicado do clube vai ser investigado. Nunca é apropriado questionar a integridade da equipe de arbitragem e a natureza destes comentários significam que a Premier League também vai investigar esta situação com as regras da liga”, diz o comunicado.
